Marketing & Community Specialist - Invitation Project
Indexed description
THE PROJECT
We are building a subscription-based coaching platform for relational evangelism. Designed to inspire and equip ordinary Christians to connect with and pray for up to five non-Christians in their sphere of influence, helping them discover Jesus. Everything we create is grounded in Scripture, shaped by grace, and built to honor the journey of every person our users reach.
THE POSITION
We're looking for a Marketing & Community Specialist who can own the full surface area between Invitation Project and the world: social, email, App Store, community, and paid channels. As we head into launch, campaign execution is the priority: building and running the campaigns that drive installs, conversion, and early user growth. The candidate will be working with a small team, moving quickly, and executing with precision across multiple channels at once. One will report to the Marketing Manager and work closely with our design and production teams.
Responsibilities
Content & Messaging
- Write and schedule social media posts across platforms, copy that actually stops the scroll
- Own and maintain the content calendar
- Write email newsletters: community updates and conversion-focused campaigns
- Hold and protect brand voice and tone across all channels
- Research and define target audience segments: understand who we're trying to reach, where they live online, and what actually resonates with them
- Coordinate day-to-day campaign logistics: asset trafficking, scheduling, publishing
- Manage paid social channels (Meta): trafficking ads, monitoring spend, flagging performance
- Own App Store listing and optimization, including keyword research and ASO strategy
- Run free-to-paid lifecycle email sequences
- Coordinate influencer and creator relationships, ongoing management
- Identify unconventional distribution channels, the kind of growth moves that cost more creativity than budget
- Develop and execute SEO strategy: on-page optimization, keyword targeting, content discoverability
- Respond to user DMs, comments, and App Store reviews
- Own early adopter onboarding: ensure new users activate and feel supported
- Gather user feedback and surface it to the product team
- Build and maintain relationships with individual ministry contacts at the personal level, not institutional outreach
- Track and report on campaign performance: installs, conversion, MAU, channel ROI
- Monitor community sentiment: flag churn signals, disengagement, tone shifts
- Run A/B tests on copy and creative with support from Designer
- Produce monthly performance reports
- Identify which audiences are converting and why, and translate that into smarter targeting and messaging strategy
- Liaise with the Designer on asset needs, timelines, and creative briefs
- Coordinate with Production Team on video production needs and social video content
- Attend team syncs and keep campaign documentation current
- Must be a dedicated Christian and willing to sign a statement of faith
- Willingness to sign a non-disclosure and non-compete agreement
- Ability to work independently across multiple projects simultaneously
- Hands-on experience with Meta paid social, Mailchimp, and App Store Optimization
- Strong copywriting across social, email, and conversion formats
- Analytics fluency — reads data and translates it into decisions
- Familiarity with the Canadian Christian landscape — church networks, ministry culture, and relevant platforms
- 1–3 years hands-on campaign execution
- Preferred: Portfolio or examples of copy, campaigns, or community work
