Pay Rate: $76.00/hour

Position Description:
Join a dynamic team supporting the vital JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline infrastructure in Suffolk, VA. As an Information System Project Architect, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative technology solutions aligned with mission objectives. This essential onsite role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management, and leadership skills to ensure project success while maintaining highest standards of security, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the solution and system design processes, including describing, documenting, and managing technical architectures to solve complex business challenges.
- Develop and execute strategic technical visions, analyzing existing environments and aligning solutions with mission goals.
- Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and non-technical personnel to ensure clear communication and requirement fulfillment.
- Select appropriate technology stacks considering project scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
- Create comprehensive project plans, manage budgets, schedules, and resources; provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with security, scalability, and performance standards.
- Analyze customer needs, assess software requirements, and document best practices to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; 10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years with a master’s degree in IT strategy/architecture.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Certifications: IAM Level II (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CASP, GSLC, CAP), with certification expiration dates submitted.
- Optional but preferred: RHCSA or RHCDS.
- Extensive experience in system/software architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), programming languages, database management, APIs, DevOps, cybersecurity, and networking.
- Proven project management skills, including planning, budgeting, risk mitigation, and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of engaging diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with DoD major systems or programs highly desired.
