Industrial Engineer – Supplier Transfer & Industrialization

SUMMARY

You’ll take full ownership of supplier transfer projects, ensuring manufacturing is successfully transitioned, optimized, and stabilized—all while managing risk and driving efficiency.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with strong visibility across Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and R&D.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supplier Transfers & Industrialization

• Lead end-to-end supplier transfer projects (make-to-make, make-to-buy, dual sourcing)
• Manage production relocations, ramp-ups, and supplier changes
• Validate assembly and testing processes at supplier sites
• Drive APQP / PPAP activities and ensure smooth production ramp-up

NPD & Collaboration

• Support new product introduction (NPD) with a supplier-focused approach
• Work closely with R&D to ensure manufacturability (DfM / DfA)
• Collaborate with Quality, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams

Cost & Performance

• Optimize manufacturing costs (labor, tooling, processes)
• Perform capacity planning and output validation
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities

Risk & Governance

• Assess and manage supplier and industrial risks
• Contribute to FMEA, risk reviews, and escalation topics
• Provide clear reporting to stakeholders and leadership

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years’ experience in Industrial Engineering (NPD / C2W)
• 2+ years’ experience in supplier transfers / industrialization
• Strong knowledge of: APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Assembly & testing process validation
• Experience within automotive, automation, machinery, or electromechanical systems
• Fluent German (native level) and English
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills
