TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Duration of Teacher’s Absence

PRIMARY FUNCTION: As a Long-term Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to Special Education students, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular teacher.

Typical Duties And Responsibilities

  • Facilitate student learning in concepts and skills for Special Education students
  • Implement lesson plans and adapt as necessary to meet student needs.
  • Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with school staff to support student learning and development.

MNIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Haitian Creole.
