Role Overview

This role is for someone who can design systems that are scaled but also isn’t precious about building temporary things when we need a demo, a pilot, or something to show a room full of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain business applications, internal tools, and customer-facing solutions
• Assist teams and stakeholders in developing applications using AI-assisted development tools
• Review, validate, and improve AI-generated code before deployment
• Establish standards and best practices for AI-assisted software development
• Create and maintain code review, testing, and deployment processes
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Support application deployments across cloud and on-premises environments
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business teams to deliver solutions quickly and safely
• Document development standards, deployment procedures, and operational processes
• Evaluate emerging AI development tools and recommend best practices for adoption
• Help establish a scalable framework for application development across the organization

Tech Stack

• AI-assisted development platforms (Claude Code, ChatGPT)
• JFrog Artifactory — artifact management and single-source dependency governance
• GitLab / Bitbucket — source control, merge request workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus/Grafana) for monitoring AI service health
• Docker and containerized applications
• AWS and on-premises infrastructure
• Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern web application frameworks
• PostgreSQL and relational databases
• REST APIs and service integrations
• Infrastructure automation and configuration management tools

Basic Qualifications

• Strong backend experience (startup or production systems)
• Comfortable owning systems end-to-end
• Strong application development experience in modern programming languages and frameworks
• Familiarity with local LLM deployment and inference infrastructure (Ollama or similar)
• Experience managing containerized AI workloads in resource-constrained environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying production applications
• Comfortable reviewing, refactoring, and validating code written by others
• Understanding software architecture, application lifecycle management, and development best practices
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and deployment automation
• Ability to balance rapid delivery with maintainability and security
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to establish processes and standards where they may not yet exist
