Principal Software Engineer (Principal Golang Engineer) 🚀 Series C Scale Up 🔬 Life Sciences

Salary: £200,000 plus package

Location: Angel (3 days per week in office)

Requirements: Backend engineering specialist, with expertise in Golang, Python + Kubernetes. Experience with Rust is a plus!

The Mission: Orchestrating Physical Reality 🤖

I am working with a Series C powerhouse ($100M+ raised) disrupting the Life Sciences sector by building a cloud-to-hardware "Operating System" that automates human health. They are looking to hire a Principal Software Engineer who will be the technical heavyweight that 5–6 Staff Engineers rally behind.

⚡ The Technical Core

• The ecosystem is built for high-concurrency and extreme performance. As a Principal Software Engineer, you need to be a Go (Golang) specialist. You aren't just coding in it; you’ve used Go to build, scale, and architect non-trivial backend systems.
• Experience with Rust is a huge plus, but you will ideally have the ability to navigate complex Python environments for the ML/Data side of the business.
• Mastery of Kubernetes, Containers, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).

🎯 Who You Are

• 13–20 years backend engineering experience covering Go (Golang) + Python.
• You design distributed systems that bridge the gap between digital orchestration and physical robotics.
• Experince mentoring Staff and Senior Engineers, winning their respect through technical depth.
• As the Principal Software Engineer, you spot the gap, architect the fix, and lead the charge.
