About The Role

The Accounts Officer is a key member of the College's finance team, responsible for delivering high-quality financial and administrative support services. This role is central to ensuring the smooth operation of the College's financial systems, with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. The role also supports broader financial operations such as reporting, budgeting assistance, and audit preparation, contributing to the overall financial integrity and operational efficiency of the College.

This part‑time role is contracted for four working days per week on an ongoing basis. It offers an excellent opportunity to join a highly productive, close‑knit team within the College.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Process bank payment processing and other bank statement activity processing as required into FACTS Student Management (FSM).
  • Process weekly bank statement reconciliations and reviews of banking ledgers as requested by the Finance Manager.
  • General ledger reconciliations and reviews as requested by the Finance Manager.
  • Review and process journals as required e.g. Internal adjustments and cross college charges.
  • Support the yearly College audit regarding documentations preparation and presentation from the above financial activities of the school.
  • Provide direct secondary support and backup to the accounts receivable officer during periods of heavy workloads and leave.

Skills and Experiences:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (or similar).
  • Previous experience in finance function, preferably in an independent school environment is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
