This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Data Engineer in United States.

This role sits at the core of a mission-driven data organization, where your work directly supports the development of scalable data infrastructure powering analytics, research, and product innovation. You will design and build robust data pipelines and warehouse solutions that enable high-quality insights across clinical, operational, and product domains. Working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, you will partner with engineers, analysts, data scientists, and product teams to transform complex data into reliable, production-grade systems. The position combines hands-on engineering with architectural ownership, requiring strong expertise in modern data platforms and cloud ecosystems. You will play a key role in improving data reliability, governance, and performance at scale. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to systems that support better decision-making and meaningful real-world outcomes.

Accountabilities:

    • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure supporting analytics, reporting, and product use cases.
    • Develop and optimize data warehouse architecture and data models to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
    • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business and research requirements into technical data solutions.
    • Implement and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using modern tools, ensuring efficient data ingestion and transformation processes.
    • Build and manage orchestration workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow, including monitoring, logging, and automated recovery mechanisms.
    • Ensure high standards of data quality through testing frameworks, validation, and regression testing practices.
    • Support Snowflake-based data environments, including ingestion patterns, security controls, and performance optimization.
    • Collaborate with analytics and product teams to deliver curated datasets and trusted data models.
    • Contribute to data governance, compliance, and handling of sensitive or regulated data where applicable.
    • Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and engineering best practices across the data stack.
    • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to long-term data platform strategy.

    Requirements:

      • 4+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
      • Strong proficiency in Python for building production-grade data pipelines.
      • Advanced SQL skills with experience in data modeling and transformation frameworks such as dbt.
      • Experience with modern data ingestion tools (e.g., Airbyte, Fivetran) and CDC-based pipelines.
      • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
      • Deep knowledge of Snowflake, including Snowpipe, RBAC, security practices, and performance tuning.
      • Experience with data quality assurance, testing frameworks, and debugging complex data issues.
      • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Sigma.
      • Understanding of data warehousing principles and dimensional modeling.
      • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
      • Preferred: experience handling sensitive data (PII/PHI) in regulated environments such as healthcare.
      • Preferred: familiarity with Terraform, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.

      Benefits:

        • Competitive annual salary range: $128,000 – $176,000 USD.
        • Annual performance-based bonus eligibility.
        • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life, and disability insurance).
        • Equity opportunities through restricted stock units.
        • Flexible paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and company holidays.
        • Paid parental leave and family support benefits.
        • 401(k) retirement plan with up to 3% employer matching.
        • Monthly tech allowance and remote work support.
        • Wellness programs, mental health support, and employee engagement initiatives.
        • Additional perks including learning support, community events, and employee recognition programs.
