Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Java

You will join a global engineering environment where quality, automation, and scalable software delivery are at the core of product development. In this role, you will bridge development and QA by designing and implementing robust automated testing frameworks and ensuring quality is embedded throughout the CI/CD pipeline. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performing, secure, and scalable applications across web and backend systems. The role combines hands-on engineering with strategic quality leadership, including API automation, test framework design, and performance validation. Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java and modern testing tools to ensure high product quality.
• Build and execute automated test suites for APIs, UI, and backend systems, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across applications.
• Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous quality and fast, reliable releases.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to define requirements, validate features, and ensure alignment with user expectations.
• Lead test planning, estimation, execution, and reporting for complex projects, ensuring adherence to quality and delivery standards.
• Drive defect management processes using tools like JIRA, including tracking, reporting, and resolution validation.
• Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices, including code reviews, clean coding standards, and test-driven development.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage, testing efficiency, and overall engineering productivity.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure continuous delivery alignment.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or QA automation with strong expertise in Java-based development and testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent tools.
• Solid understanding of Angular, including unit testing, state management (NgRx), and modern frontend architecture.
• Experience with API automation, backend testing, and validation of complex data using SQL and database queries.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub workflows, branching strategies, and code review processes.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS (Lambda, SQS, etc.) and containerized environments.
• Experience in performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of test-driven development and ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Proven ability to work independently in fast-paced, Agile environments while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across cross-functional global teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and automation.
