Accountabilities
In this role, you will lead advanced engineering studies and technical delivery efforts across multiple renewable energy projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment with project goals. You will play a key role in both technical execution and stakeholder coordination while supporting continuous improvement in engineering practices.
- Lead and perform complex power system studies, including short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, harmonic analysis, grounding, ampacity, and power quality assessments
- Conduct protective device coordination studies and evaluate system reliability and performance
- Design and optimize collection systems, including cable routing, sizing, and related electrical infrastructure
- Develop equipment specifications and apply expertise in renewable energy systems such as PV, inverters, BESS, transformers, and balance-of-system components
- Build and maintain interconnection models and perform advanced simulations using industry-standard tools
- Review technical deliverables and ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality expectations, and project requirements
- Develop innovative methods, tools, and workflows to improve analysis efficiency and engineering outcomes
- Act as a technical lead and primary point of contact for assigned projects or portfolios
- Prepare client-facing reports, presentations, proposals, and technical documentation
- Support planning, scheduling, and coordination of engineering deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior engineers while contributing to team development and knowledge sharing
- Provide technical guidance to leadership and support resolution of non-standard or highly complex engineering problems
- Ensure all deliverables meet deadlines, scope requirements, and quality standards
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of relevant post-graduate experience
- EIT certification required
- Strong understanding of power system engineering principles, including protection, load flow, fault analysis, and system modeling
- Experience in renewable energy systems (solar PV, BESS) or conventional substation/generation projects (equivalent experience considered)
- At least 2 years of experience with renewable energy systems or 5+ years in power generation/substation engineering
- Hands-on experience with vendor dynamic models and system integration studies
- Advanced proficiency in engineering and simulation tools such as ETAP, PSS/E, PSLF, CDEGS, and CYMCAP
- Strong programming skills in Python for automation, data analysis, and process optimization
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills for client-facing deliverables and reporting
- Proven ability to lead projects, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to technical detail
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team capability development
