This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer in India.

This role is focused on building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure that powers fast and efficient software delivery. You will play a key part in designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines that support continuous integration and deployment in a Microsoft Azure environment. Working at the intersection of development and operations, you will help automate infrastructure, improve system reliability, and enable smoother collaboration across engineering teams. The role requires a strong hands-on approach to cloud infrastructure, automation, and observability in production systems. You will also contribute to incident response, ensuring high availability and resilience for mission-critical applications. In addition, you will act as a technical mentor, helping elevate DevOps practices across the team. This is a high-impact role where engineering quality and delivery speed are both central priorities.

Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable software delivery through version control, rollback strategies, and release automation.
• Build and manage Azure-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and ARM templates.
• Maintain and optimize cloud resources including compute, networking, storage, and databases for performance, cost, and security.
• Implement end-to-end monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health, uptime, and observability.
• Lead incident response activities, troubleshoot production issues, and drive long-term reliability improvements.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, or Python to eliminate manual operational tasks.
• Integrate security and compliance best practices into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure management.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to strengthen DevOps culture and improve delivery workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing, code reviews, and DevOps best practices adoption.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles supporting production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services including compute, storage, networking, and security components.
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Azure Resource Manager templates.
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation and tooling.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls) and cloud security practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to perform under pressure, especially during production incidents, with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Leadership and mentoring mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and team development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or other cloud certifications are a plus.

Benefits:
• Opportunity to shape DevOps practices and influence cloud infrastructure strategy.
• Strong focus on automation, modern tooling, and engineering excellence.
• Exposure to enterprise-scale Azure cloud environments and mission-critical systems.
• Career growth opportunities through mentoring, leadership, and technical ownership.
• Supportive engineering culture focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Opportunity to work on high-impact systems improving delivery speed and reliability.
• Learning environment with exposure to modern DevOps tools and cloud technologies.
