This role is part of a digital transformation initiative within the financial sector, focused on building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions. Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for building and evolving backend systems and APIs that support scalable and reliable financial applications.

• Develop RESTful APIs and Java-based backend applications for financial systems
• Design, build, and maintain microservices architectures and distributed systems
• Integrate new software components and ensure seamless system interoperability
• Improve performance, scalability, and maintainability of existing solutions
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional squads
• Support system deployments and production releases, ensuring stability and quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical blockers impacting delivery timelines
• Contribute to event-driven architecture using messaging and streaming systems
• Work on both SQL and NoSQL databases to support application needs

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong backend Java experience and solid exposure to distributed systems, cloud environments, and financial sector projects.

• Strong experience with Java 8+ and backend development
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security
• Solid understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture
• Experience with Kafka and messaging/event streaming systems
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud environments, especially Microsoft Azure
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing practices
• Knowledge of Clean Code principles and software design best practices
• Experience working in agile development environments
• Background in financial sector projects (strong advantage)
• Strong communication, proactivity, and collaborative mindset
• Ability to suggest improvements and contribute to engineering best practices
