This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a modern cloud infrastructure environment during a critical phase of cloud transformation and operational scaling. You will serve as a key technical expert across Microsoft 365, Azure, identity management, automation, and endpoint administration while helping optimize reliability, security, and operational efficiency. Working within a small and agile IT team, you will have a high level of autonomy and direct influence on infrastructure strategy, tooling, and cloud operations. The position combines hands-on technical execution with process improvement, automation, and cross-functional collaboration. You will contribute to cloud governance, deployment operations, cost optimization, and endpoint management while supporting business-critical systems across the organization. Accountabilities:
- Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and tenant-level administration.
- Administer Azure infrastructure and identity environments, including Entra ID, Active Directory, RBAC, networking, governance, and cloud security configurations.
- Build and maintain automation workflows using PowerShell, Python, Microsoft Graph API, and Power Automate to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Support cloud migration initiatives, infrastructure modernization, and long-term platform scalability strategies.
- Manage endpoint administration across macOS and Windows environments using JAMF and Intune.
- Execute and support structured production deployment processes, including Salesforce-related operational deployments.
- Monitor and optimize Azure costs, Microsoft licensing utilization, and cloud resource management.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure, identity, networking, and endpoint issues during operational and on-call support rotations.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and internal knowledge-sharing resources.
- Collaborate with vendors, SaaS providers, and internal stakeholders to support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 5–7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or systems administration roles with a strong focus on Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and Entra ID environments.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory administration, identity lifecycle management, and domain controller operations.
- Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell and/or Python, including familiarity with Microsoft Graph API integrations.
- Practical experience designing and maintaining Power Automate workflows and business process automation.
- Knowledge of Azure governance, networking fundamentals, cloud security best practices, and resource optimization.
- Experience with structured deployment processes, release management, or Salesforce production support operations.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across cloud infrastructure, identity management, endpoints, and networking environments.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and solve ambiguous technical challenges with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 USD plus discretionary annual bonus eligibility up to 10%.
