Accountabilities:
- Lead and contribute to system architecture, engineering, integration, testing, deployment, and operational support initiatives.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise infrastructure solutions across Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services environments.
- Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure incidents and system performance issues.
- Deploy, configure, and administer Kubernetes clusters, containerized applications, and cloud-native systems.
- Develop and maintain automation workflows using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to improve operational efficiency.
- Design and implement network security solutions, including intrusion prevention and detection systems.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, methodologies, and infrastructure improvements that support long-term scalability and performance.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality, performance, and security requirements.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems, virtualized environments, storage systems, and supporting infrastructure components.
- Build, integrate, patch, and prepare systems for production deployment and rapid remediation activities.
- Develop and maintain internal applications while improving performance, scalability, and dependency management.
- Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational reliability for production systems and applications.
- Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support design reviews, technical planning, and implementation activities.
- Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing on modern technologies and engineering best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide rapid response support for outages and maintenance windows.
- 5+ years of Linux systems engineering experience, including Red Hat, CentOS, or Rocky Linux environments.
- 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience, including Helm chart development and application deployment.
- 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services.
- 5+ years of experience managing Elasticsearch environments, including indexing, clustering, and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Solid understanding of networking, network security, encryption technologies, access protection methods, and cross-domain solutions.
- Experience with VMware vSphere ESXi, virtualization platforms, PostgreSQL, and distributed infrastructure systems.
- Familiarity with Unix scripting languages such as Ruby, Perl, or advanced shell scripting.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in highly technical environments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with both technical teams and customers.
- Availability to support 24/7 maintenance windows and infrastructure incidents as required.
- Willingness and ability to travel when necessary.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance.
