Agentic AI Engineer

This role sits at the frontier of enterprise AI systems, focused on designing and building the foundational layer for agentic AI within a complex, high-impact technical environment. You will help define how autonomous AI systems are architected, deployed, and governed across the organization, turning early prototypes into production-grade, enterprise-ready solutions. The position combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, requiring you to shape architecture while actively building core systems. You will work closely with product, data, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure AI agents are safe, scalable, and deeply integrated into real workflows. The environment is fast-moving, experimental, and highly collaborative, with strong emphasis on ownership, iteration, and engineering excellence. This is a key role in shaping how agentic AI is operationalized at scale.

Accountabilities

You will define, build, and scale the core infrastructure and systems that enable enterprise-grade agentic AI, while actively contributing as a hands-on engineer and technical leader.

• Define the architecture for enterprise agentic AI systems, including orchestration, tool use, memory/state management, evaluation, and observability
• Build and ship production-grade systems, writing significant portions of code while establishing CI/CD, testing, and deployment pipelines for AI agents
• Transition prototypes into robust, secure, and scalable production systems under a “build it, run it” ownership model
• Design systems for enterprise security, including multi-tenancy, RBAC, audit logging, encryption, and secure tool usage
• Partner with data, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure reliable data pipelines and safe AI system design
• Enable internal teams and power users by building SDKs, templates, and developer tooling for safe AI development
• Drive engineering excellence through standards, code quality, technical hiring, and mentoring across AI initiatives

Requirements

This role requires deep experience in production software engineering and strong familiarity with modern AI/LLM systems, along with technical leadership capabilities and a product-oriented mindset.

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong systems design expertise
• Hands-on experience building production systems using LLMs and/or agentic AI patterns
• Strong understanding of orchestration, tool use, evaluation, observability, and memory/state management in AI systems
• Proficiency in at least two of: Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Go, with full-stack comfort
• Experience with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) and frameworks such as LangChain or similar agent tooling
• Familiarity with vector databases, RAG pipelines, workflow automation, and LLM evaluation/monitoring tools
• Proven ability to take systems from prototype to production in high-ownership environments
• Strong understanding of enterprise security fundamentals (RBAC, encryption, audit logging, secrets management)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to align technical decisions with business impact
• Experience in regulated or complex enterprise environments is a plus
