About
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Utility and BESS Solutions team as a Key Account Manager for the UK & Ireland. Curious about what this role entails? Let’s dive in:
- Drive business development for utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and microgrid projects, focusing on key accounts, EPCs, and developers.
- Manage tender processes from opportunity identification to validated offers, coordinating internal stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with C-suite executives, developers, investors, and utilities to secure projects and expand collaboration.
- Provide accurate project information to internal teams for planning and execution across engineering, procurement, and delivery.
- Monitor market trends, policy changes, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities.
- Represent Sungrow at industry events and act as an ambassador for our brand and solutions.
- Solid business development experience in solar and storage with a proven track record in EPC, ICP, or OEM activities.
- Knowledge of large utility-scale solar farms (>50MWp), BESS projects (stand-alone or hybrid), and microgrid solutions.
- Familiarity with key components such as PV modules, inverters, BESS, HV equipment, and SCADA systems.
- Strong understanding of UK power market dynamics and ability to present complex data and insights to clients.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with a consultative approach to sales.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK & Ireland.
