About The Role

As Key Account Manager for France you will be responsible for developing strategic customer relationships to grow Pharmanovia’s business. You will be working continuously to explore business opportunities including territory management, market development and selling excellence, while sticking to business ethics and regulatory guidelines.

In the role of Key Account Manager, you will act as the primary field-based point of contact for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key stakeholders across your assigned region. You will be responsible for the promotion and support of Pharmanovia products within your territory, in full compliance with French regulations and the requirements of the Charter for the Promotion of Medicines and its certification framework. You will also identify and engage key opinion leaders (KOLs) and target HCPs to build advocacy across the region.

The position will be part of the France Commercial team, where focus on sharing best practice and working as a team is a key part of the culture.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prioritise and manage accounts within assigned territory by identifying and assessing appropriate business opportunities through contacts with key decision makers and important local payers
  • Formulate comprehensive and insightful key account plans to build, manage and improve trustful relationships with these key stakeholders, whilst maximising Pharmanovia performance
  • Shape and implement innovative offerings to meet account needs
  • Deliver agreed strategy and all necessary tactics within the key accounts in order to drive Pharmanovia performance, including and not limited to delivering product and therapeutic knowledge, detailing to prescribers, and negotiating sales terms with hospital pharmacies.
  • Manage and develop KOL relationships, including relevant decision-making doctors, pharmacists and administrative functions at major hospitals
  • Operate in a manner that is always in line with compliance and legal requirements (GMP/GDP/GVP) and according to the marketing and sales strategies
  • Understand, respect, and abide by all local rules and regulations pertaining to pursuing pharmaceutical activities. knowledge of and compliance with the rules in force of the Promotional Information Charter and its reference system, and particularly the rules of ethics

  • Gain and share customer insights through appropriate and relevant customer and account profiling (market surveillance)
  • Perform local marketing and sales analyses and gain patient flow insights
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve outstanding results
  • Participate at congresses, meetings and trainings
  • Coordinate activities within your key accounts, and document and report daily activities
  • Track and communicate KPIs and performance metrics as defined in the account plan
  • Preparation of an annual sales/marketing plan and activity plan for each product
  • Settle budgeted profits and complete approved activity plan
  • Share best practice and champion Key Account Management approach
  • Act as an ambassador for the Pharmanovia, its vision and values, to achieve patient focus at all levels of the business

About You

Candidates with key account management experience in pharmaceuticals or device management, particularly within oncology, should have the skills and experience required for the role. We are also looking for:

  • Qualified Medical Representative (attested by diploma/title/certificate listed in the law Art L5122-11 or L5122-12 of the Public Health Code)
  • Qualification to promote medicines (
  • 75 AMG, Medicinal products Act)
  • Experience in promoting innovative pharmaceutical products, preferably in the area of oncology/gastroenterology and neurology
  • Great IT skills, including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and use of CRM systems
  • Knowledge of the French health care system and experience in communicating and negotiating with healthcare decision-makers and managing complex networks is advantageous
  • High level of strategic and analytical thinking around a product, and initiative, drive and commitment
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set with an independent working style and motivated by autonomy
  • Well-developed presentation and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in French, ability to understand and communicate in English
  • Overnight tour (20-30%) may be required on larger territories
  • Valid, clean driving licence

Experience in clinical detailing innovative pharmaceutical products, preferably in the area of oncology/gastroenterology and neurology (sleep) would be ideal, but for the right candidate, full training will be provided.
