Accountabilities:
- Prepare detailed financial, operational, and business performance analyses to support strategic decision-making and executive leadership initiatives.
- Assist senior leadership with special projects, troubleshooting efforts, and ad hoc financial investigations.
- Develop forecasts and analyze trends related to sales performance, operating expenses, profitability, investments, and overall business conditions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, summaries, dashboards, and executive presentations using data from multiple sources.
- Perform financial modeling, profitability analysis, reserve calculations, and expense evaluations to support operational and financial planning.
- Analyze and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data integrity across reporting systems.
- Support the preparation and review of regulatory and financial reporting documents, including annual reports and Form 10-K filings.
- Provide analytical insights related to industry benchmarks, loss ratios, premiums, rate filings, and financial performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate proposed operational or financial changes and assess their business impact.
- Mentor or provide guidance to junior financial analysts while supporting process improvements and reporting standardization initiatives.
- Develop a strong understanding of internal accounting systems, financial operations, and business workflows to support ongoing analysis efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required.
- MBA, CPA, or related advanced financial certification preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, accounting, or related financial functions.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in forecasting and budgeting processes preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Experience preparing financial reports, business analyses, and executive-level presentations.
- Understanding of financial planning, profitability analysis, reserve calculations, and regulatory reporting processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in collaborative, deadline-driven environments.
- Proficiency with financial systems, reporting tools, spreadsheets, and data analysis platforms.
- Experience working within insurance, financial services, or regulated industries is considered a plus.
- Willingness to participate in an in-person interview process if required.
