This role sits at the intersection of sales support, account management, and operational execution within a complex stop loss insurance environment. You will play a key role in supporting the full sales and renewal lifecycle by ensuring accurate group setup, smooth implementation of new business, and efficient resolution of account and benefit-related issues. Acting as a central point of coordination between sales teams, clients, producers, and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure seamless service delivery across all stages of the account journey. The position requires strong technical knowledge of stop loss or employer benefits administration, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. You will also contribute to process improvements and support junior team members, helping strengthen overall team performance. This is a highly collaborative role where accuracy, responsiveness, and client focus directly impact business success.
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will support the sales and account management teams by managing complex administrative processes across the stop loss sales and renewal lifecycle while ensuring data accuracy and service excellence.
- Load, update, and maintain group information and benefit files with high accuracy across internal systems.
- Support account managers and sales teams by resolving benefit inquiries and coordinating account activities.
- Manage RFP intake, renewal processes, and implementation tasks related to new and existing group accounts.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, implementations, and client-related project activities.
- Identify and resolve errors in account files, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
- Analyze and support implementation of policy changes, benefit updates, and non-standard arrangements.
- Serve as a resource to less experienced colleagues and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in account support, insurance operations, or related specialization.
- Strong understanding of stop loss, health insurance, or employer benefits administration preferred.
- Experience supporting sales teams, account managers, or client service functions.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and correct complex data and system records.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for interacting with internal teams, producers, and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a structured, fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
- Experience in healthcare or insurance environments is strongly preferred.
- Competitive salary range: $62,700 – $97,200 annually
