Cloud Platform Engineer- Azure

This role sits at the core of a modern cloud engineering environment, focused on building and scaling reliable, automated infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will contribute to the design and optimization of cloud platforms that support complex, mission-critical healthcare imaging systems used by major health organizations. Working closely with senior engineers, SREs, and development teams, you will help improve continuous delivery systems and deployment pipelines that enable faster, safer software releases. The environment is highly collaborative and automation-driven, with strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering practices. You will work on real-world challenges involving scalability, reliability, and security in regulated environments. This is a hands-on engineering role where your contributions directly enhance platform performance and software delivery efficiency.

Accountabilities:

You will contribute to the design, automation, and operation of scalable Azure-based cloud infrastructure while ensuring reliability, performance, and security:

• Assist in designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure in collaboration with senior engineers
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for automated provisioning and configuration
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps to enable efficient software delivery
• Develop automation scripts and internal tools using C#, Python, or PowerShell to streamline platform operations
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of deployment, infrastructure, and application issues across environments
• Implement security best practices and support compliance requirements within Azure cloud environments
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to platform reliability and incident response activities
• Document system architectures, operational procedures, and platform configurations for consistency and knowledge sharing

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings hands-on cloud engineering experience with strong Azure expertise and a passion for automation, reliability, and DevOps practices:

• 2–4 years of experience in Cloud Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles with a focus on Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge of Azure services including compute, networking (VNets, NSGs, load balancers), storage, AAD/IAM, and AKS
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, or similar platforms
• Programming skills in C#, Python, or PowerShell for automation and system integration
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration using Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls) in cloud environments
• Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced agile teams
