Software Engineer - Perception / Fleet Mapping

In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional team to design and develop large-scale HD mapping algorithms, workflows, and data pipelines. Your work will directly impact our ability to efficiently map new cities and continuously update existing maps at scale, playing a critical role in accelerating our autonomous vehicle deployment.
In this role, you will:
- Automate large-scale mapping pipelines and workflows
- Contribute to scalable algorithms for map creation, validation, and maintenance
- Ensure system reliability and performance through testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of production systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with a variety of teams working on things such as perception, planning, prediction, simulation, etc
- Propose tool and/or feature ideas to the team to improve processes
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years experience
- Proficiency in C++ and Python
- Experience in cloud / distributed computing and automating pipelines
- Experience in industry software devops workflow and tools, for example, CI / CD
- Experience working with 3D sensor data from cameras and/or lidars
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with mapping or geospatial data
- Experience with React and frontend development
- Experience with database design and API development
