About the Role
Invictus AI is an AI-first, AI-native company. This role is designed for early-career engineers who are motivated to build strong full-stack fundamentals while learning how to design and support AI-powered features and agent-based systems.
You will work closely with senior engineers to build AI-enabled workflows, assist in developing multi-step AI agents, and gain hands-on experience operating LLM systems in production environments.
Core Qualifications
Experience
- 1–3 years of software engineering experience (internships or professional)
- Demonstrated ability to ship features with guidance
- Strong desire to grow into an AI-native full-stack engineer
Backend (Required)
- Working knowledge of Python
- Experience with Django, FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks
- Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP concepts
- Basic SQL and relational database knowledge
- Familiarity with authentication concepts (sessions, tokens)
- Experience using Git in collaborative environments
Frontend / Mobile (Required)
- Experience with React, React Native, or similar frameworks
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
- Understanding of component-based architecture
- Experience consuming APIs in frontend or mobile apps
- Familiarity with async operations and state management concepts
AI & Agent Exposure (Required)
- Hands-on experience using LLM tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) in daily development
- Basic understanding of:
- Prompt design and iteration
- Embeddings and vector search (introductory level)
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts
- Tool/function calling patterns
- Multi-step or agent-based workflows (high level)
- Any experience integrating AI APIs into applications
- Interest in building AI agents that retrieve information and take structured actions
- Ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs
Cloud & Dev Foundations
- Exposure to AWS or GCP
- Basic understanding of Docker or containerization concepts
- Familiarity with CI/CD principles
- Awareness of performance, security, and reliability fundamentals

Key Responsibilities
Development
- Build and maintain full-stack features under senior guidance
- Support development of AI-powered features and agent workflows
- Assist in implementing retrieval, tool-calling, and structured action logic
- Write clean, maintainable code with unit tests
- Debug backend, frontend, and AI integration issues
AI-Assisted Engineering
- Use LLM tools to accelerate development, debugging, and learning
- Contribute to experimentation with agent-based systems
- Help improve evaluation, guardrails, and reliability of AI features
Growth & Collaboration
- Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies
- Contribute to documentation and internal knowledge sharing
- Continuously improve engineering fundamentals and AI literacy
