Healthcare Business Development Representative

Position OverviewWe're seeking a results-driven Healthcare Business Development Representative to expand our healthcare recruitment services in the Corpus Christi market and surrounding Coastal Bend region. This role focuses on building relationships with hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and healthcare facilities to understand their staffing needs and position Tarpon as their go-to recruitment partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare facility administrators, HR directors, and department heads throughout the Coastal Bend region
- Identify staffing needs and pain points within hospitals, clinics, assisted living facilities, and specialty healthcare providers
- Present Tarpon's recruitment solutions, including domestic nursing placement and international TN visa sponsorship programs for Canadian RNs and Mexico RNs.
- Generate new business through cold calling, networking events, industry conferences, and referrals
- Conduct facility tours and needs assessments to understand organizational hierarchies and staffing challenges
- Collaborate with internal recruitment team to match qualified candidates with client needs
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and contract status in CRM system
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets and business development goals
- 2+ years of B2B sales or business development experience (healthcare industry experience strongly preferred)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong understanding of healthcare facility structures and staffing challenges
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage territory
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client visits throughout the region
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in healthcare staffing, recruitment, or medical sales
- Existing relationships with Corpus Christi area healthcare facilities
- Knowledge of nursing licensure, credentialing, and visa sponsorship processes
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
