Founding Engineer (Full Stack) – AI Product Startup

Location: Munich (hybrid)

Compensation: Up to €100k base + meaningful equity

We’re partnering with an early-stage AI product company that is building software at the intersection of AI, sales, and go-to-market operations. The company is less than 2 years old, generating upwards of €500k ARR from enterprise customers, and is now entering its next phase of growth.

The founding team has built strong commercial traction and a working product, but engineering capacity has become the key bottleneck. They are now hiring a Founding Engineer to work directly with the founder and help scale the platform.

This is a rare opportunity to join a very early-stage, revenue-generating startup as one of the first technical hires and play a central role in shaping the product, architecture, and future engineering team.

What You’ll Do

• Build and iterate on a user-facing AI product used by commercial teams
• Work directly with the founder on product and architecture decisions
• Develop across the full stack to deliver high-quality features quickly
• Improve system performance, stability, and scalability as usage grows
• Use modern AI tooling to accelerate development workflows
• Help lay the technical foundations for the future engineering team

Tech stack

• Modern web stack (Next.js / Node.js)
• Python services
• AI integrations via leading models and APIs
• Cloud-native infrastructure - Azure

What They’re Looking For

• Strong full stack engineering experience, particularly in modern web development
• A product-oriented mindset with attention to UX and usability
• Ability to operate in an early-stage environment with high ownership
• Passion for building real-world AI applications
• Someone who enjoys collaborating closely with founders and shaping direction
