Typical Projects
- Water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
- Transportation and roadway improvements.
- Municipal infrastructure and public facilities.
- Site development and utility coordination.
- Construction observation and project support.
- Assist with engineering design, calculations, and analysis for civil projects.
- Prepare and revise construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Perform data collection, field observations, and site visits as required.
- Support permitting efforts and coordination with public agencies.
- Assist with cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid documents.
- Respond to contractor questions and support construction administration.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and project managers to meet project schedules.
- Follow company standards, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures, and safety requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline (required).
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification or ability to obtain EI certification within a defined timeframe.
- Knowledge of basic civil engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Prior internship or related engineering experience.
- Familiarity with municipal or public works projects.
- Exposure to state or local permitting processes.
