Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Valid Texas supervisory certificate or other appropriate certificate/license
- Five years in public schools, university, or other appropriate ESC experience
- Three years principal/administrative experience; Superintendent experience preferred
- Minimum of three years Central office experience required
- Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and coordinate diverse program functions
- In-depth knowledge and experience of center area assigned
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple budgets
- Ability to manage staff at multiple levels (support and specialists)
- Experience in various federal, state, and local programs, market products, and staff development
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel
- Coach assigned staff in targeted areas of expertise to maximize productivity
- Provides leadership and direction in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services in an assigned area
- Provides for the administration and demonstrates responsible fiscal control over all assigned budgets and follows assigned budget procedure associated with grants, federal, and local budgets
- Effectively manages and maintains facility needs to ensure the assigned department is conducive to effective personnel performance
- Monitor budget expenditures on a regular basis for appropriateness and adherence to timelines
- Ensure appropriate use of funds to accomplish program/services objectives
- Develop, monitor, and manage program budgets
- Participates in required program meetings/trainings/events to meet program goals
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Provides administrative support for statewide groups in the Texas Curriculum Management Program Cooperative (TCMPC) including supervisory support of TEKS Resource System with specialists and districts.
- Coordinates delivery of program and administrative technical assistance, for program areas of responsibility, including but not limited to professional development for district staff
- Collaborate with other Associate Directors to plan and deliver required ESC and TEA meetings including coordinating TEA activities and meetings for program of responsibility
- Plan and coordinate required regional program-specific meetings
- Provides for appropriate time, resources, and materials to support staff in accomplishing Center goals including planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programs
- Assumes responsibility for correlation of Center goals and objectives
