Role Overview
Our Client is seeking a ServiceNow Lead Software Engineer within the Cybersecurity – Technology Exposure Management Engineering team. This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) module, enabling enterprise-wide vulnerability remediation initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with Technical Governance, Platform Architecture, and ServiceNow Development teams to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) solutions
- Design, build, and enhance ServiceNow applications supporting cybersecurity remediation efforts
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align solutions with enterprise architecture and governance standards
- Drive best practices in ServiceNow development, coding standards, and platform optimization
- Support and enhance cybersecurity vulnerability management workflows and automation
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
- Ensure integration of ServiceNow with other enterprise systems using service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles
- 7+ years of Software Engineering experience (or equivalent combination of work, training, military, or education)
- 5+ years of experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- 5+ years of ServiceNow Application Development experience
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR)
- 1+ year of experience with web technologies:
- JavaScript (ES5+)
- HTML, CSS/SCSS
- SQL
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required
- Must obtain ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) within 6 months of hire
- Experience working in Cybersecurity or Vulnerability Management environments
- Strong understanding of ITSM, SecOps, and risk remediation workflows
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with security tools (e.g., vulnerability scanners)
- Ability to consult and influence stakeholders on architecture and best practices
