Job Description
The Principal of the Special Education Transition Program provides educational leadership, instructional oversight, and administrative management of a post-secondary special education transition program serving students ages 1822. The program emphasizes community-based learning, vocational training, life skills development, and post-school outcomes aligned with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
The Principal ensures a safe, inclusive, and outcomes-focused learning environment; maintains compliance with special education and disability laws; supervises and develops staff; manages budgets and resources; fosters partnerships with community agencies, employers, and families to support student success in employment, education, independent living, and community participation; and prepares families with information about community resources..
Qualifications
Special Education degree or Special Education leadership experience
Master's degree
Administrative license
Previous experience as a school level administrator
