Indexed description

ISTA Personnel Solutions is a fast-growing, global BPO company. We are not a recruitment agency — we operate as a dedicated extension of our U.S.-based clients' teams, delivering high-quality operational support with precision, efficiency, and professionalism.

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing U.S.-based travel therapy staffing company that places licensed healthcare clinicians — including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Nurses — into 13-week travel contracts across the United States.

With over 300 open positions and a rapidly expanding client base, the business is growing faster than its current team can handle. They are looking for a proactive, high-energy recruiter who can hit the ground running — building a strong candidate pipeline, engaging clinicians across social platforms, and contributing to the company's brand visibility online.

This is a candidate-facing, interview-heavy role with direct mentorship from a senior recruiter. If you are a natural relationship-builder who gets a buzz from placing candidates, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and knows your way around a LinkedIn post and a Facebook group — this role was made for you.

About the Role

As a Recruiter, you will be the engine behind the company's candidate pipeline. This is a 180-degree recruitment role — meaning it is highly candidate-facing rather than client-facing. You will be conducting back-to-back screening interviews, proactively sourcing clinicians across multiple platforms, managing your pipeline with discipline, and building the brand's presence in online communities.

This is not a commission-based role.

Please Note:

  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM South African time, subject to daylight savings)
  • Public Holidays: This role requires working on both South African and U.S. public holidays (compensation for SA public holidays in accordance with the BCEA).
  • Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and wired Ethernet capability is mandatory. Connections via Rain, LTE, 5G, or similar are not acceptable. Applicants without a fixed fibre line will not be considered.
  • Power Backup: A reliable backup solution is required to manage load shedding and outages (UPS, inverter, solar, etc.). Applicants without a reliable backup solution will not be considered.
  • Work Environment: Fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively sourcing clinicians through platforms such as Vivian, Allied Travel Careers, LinkedIn, and Facebook groups — engaging candidates before they apply
  • Responding rapidly to inbound applicants and converting interest into active, pipeline-ready candidates
  • Conducting screening calls to assess experience, availability, credentials, and role fit
  • Preparing and submitting accurate candidate profiles for open travel contract roles
  • Maintaining consistent communication with candidates throughout the full recruitment cycle
  • Keeping unplaced candidates warm and engaged for future contract opportunities
  • Handling compensation discussions professionally, with realistic market knowledge
  • Creating and posting job content on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram
  • Engaging in relevant online communities to attract clinicians and build brand visibility
  • Providing regular, proactive updates without needing to be prompted

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in recruitment, sourcing, or talent acquisition — inbound and outbound
  • Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced recruitment environment
  • A genuine "hunter" mentality with strong proactive sourcing ability
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • High resilience and the ability to handle rejection without losing momentum
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a warm, approachable personality
  • Highly organised with excellent pipeline management and follow-up discipline
  • Comfortable working flexible hours aligned to U.S. business hours
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating social platforms and sourcing tools

Advantageous:

  • Experience in U.S. healthcare or travel therapy staffing
  • Familiarity with sourcing platforms such as Vivian or Allied Travel Careers
  • Experience using a CRM or ATS system
  • Social media content creation for recruitment or employer branding purposes

If you have not been contacted within 14 working days, please consider your application unsuccessful.
