We're Hiring a Part-Time Accountant to Join Our Team
We're seeking a talented and motivated Part-Time Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the Director of Finance with daily financial operations and assist with month-end financial statement preparation. This position requires a proactive, tech-savvy team player who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online, including transaction coding, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Enter and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) invoices
- Prepare standard and custom financial reports, such as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements
- Maintain and update balance sheet schedules, including depreciation, leases, and prepaids
- Analyze financial statements and explain discrepancies to the Director of Finance
- Monitor the finance team’s group email and communicate with third parties as needed
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and other team members as a dependable and communicative team player
- 3–5 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting (minimum of 2 professional references required)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills
- Willingness to work in-person 1–2 days per week in the office
- Availability to work 12–15 hours per week, with potential for more depending on workload and time of month
- Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting
- Familiarity with Rippling payroll reporting and payroll allocation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
