Stock and Purchases Officer

The Stock and Purchases Officer is responsible for managing inventory levels and coordinating the procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other supplies required for the Bonjour. This position ensures smooth stock management, timely purchasing, and compliance with quality standards to support daily operations efficiently.

Main Job Tasks And Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to ensure availability.
• Perform regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
• Implement stock rotation practices to minimize wastage and manage product shelf life.
• Place purchase orders based on stock requirements and business forecasts.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and maintain good relationships.
• Verify supplier invoices and coordinate with the finance team for payments.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and purchasing transactions.
• Generate regular reports on stock levels, purchasing trends, and supplier performance.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve stock efficiency and reduce costs.
• Work closely with production and sales teams to align inventory with operational needs.
• Communicate stock availability to store managers and resolve any shortages promptly.
• Assist in coordinating stock transfers between locations if required.
• Ensure all purchased items meet quality and safety standards.
• Monitor supplier compliance with agreed terms and conditions.

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in inventory or purchasing roles, preferably in the food or retail industry.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and tools is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Basic understanding of food safety and storage standards is an advantage.
