What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as the primary escalation point for maintenance issues during your shift
- Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and direction to skilled trades and apprentices
- Act as backup to the Maintenance Supervisor when required
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Work with a range of equipment including PLCs, conveyors, VFDs, transformers, and HVAC systems
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all work aligns with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, PM schedules, and spare parts inventory
- Valid trade certification (e.g., Industrial Electrician or Millwright equivalent)
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing setting
- Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and maintenance best practices
- A hands-on leader who thrives on the plant floor
- Ready to grow into a supervisory position in the near future
- Team-oriented, dependable, and proactive in solving problems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unionized manufacturing environment
