Senior Software Engineer

I’m hiring for a very early-stage, Post-YC seed-funded startup in NYC building advanced design/CAD software for next-generation hardware companies working across hypersonics, cargo aircraft, maritime robotics, energy infrastructure, autonomous systems, and other complex physical systems.

This is not another SaaS/dashboard product — the platform directly impacts how real-world hardware is designed, simulated, and built.

The engineering work is deeply technical and spans real-time collaboration systems, AI-assisted workflows, high-performance graphics/simulation, and scalable cloud infrastructure.

They’re looking for strong engineers with 3+ years of experience who enjoy building from first principles, owning systems end-to-end, and having real influence over product and technical direction.

Tech stack includes React, TypeScript, and Python, but they care more about strong engineering fundamentals, product intuition, and the ability to solve hard technical problems.

Bonus points for candidates with experience or strong interest in aerospace, defense, robotics, hardware, simulation, CAD, or complex engineering tools.

A strong academic background in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field is highly preferred.

The team is still small, so this is a high-ownership role with meaningful equity, very competitive compensation, and the opportunity to help define the future of engineering software.
