Role Purpose
The Industry Lead is accountable for driving growth and impact within the assigned industry.
This role connects business strategy, client value, and people capability, and acts as the overall owner of industry performance and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Industry Strategy & Growth
- Own and shape the industry strategy and go-to-market plan
- Build and grow a strong pipeline; manage key and strategic accounts
- Develop industry-specific value propositions and thought leadership
2. Client Impact & Senior Advisory
- Act as a trusted senior advisor to the C-suite and top management
- Design and deliver solutions that link business outcomes with people and organizational transformation
- Ensure quality, relevance, and measurable impact of client engagements
3. Team & Capability Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop the industry team and successor pipeline
- Serve as a role model for consulting mindset, leadership behaviors, and collaboration
- Work closely with Delivery, Talent, and Leadership teams to build capability at scale
4. Firm & Cross-Industry Contribution
- Collaborate across industries and regions to leverage firm-wide capabilities
- Contribute to firm-level initiatives such as GTM, capability building, and strategic partnerships
Qualifications & Experience
Core Experience
- 15+ years of experience in consulting, industry leadership, or senior business roles
- Proven experience as a P&L owner, business unit leader, or industry leader
- Strong track record working with C-suite and Board-level stakeholders
Industry Expertise
- Deep expertise in at least one to two industries
- (e.g., Financial Services, Energy, Manufacturing, Telco, Consumer, Real Estate, Hospitality, etc.)
- Strong understanding of industry business models, value drivers, and strategic challenges
Commercial & Advisory Capability
- Strong in business development, client relationship management, and deal shaping
- Ability to connect strategy → execution → measurable business impact
- Comfortable operating in complex, ambiguous, and multi-stakeholder environments
Leadership & Mindset
- An enterprise leader, not only a functional or technical expert
- Growth mindset with a strong coaching and people-development approach
- Credible, grounded, and mature; respected by senior clients and internal teams
