Account Reporting Finance Manager

Job Summary:

The Account Reporting Finance Manager will be responsible for contributing to the growth of the accounting function, ensuring timely preparation and consolidation of key reports, improving accounting best practices across all operating entities, and providing insights on financial trends and business performance to the Finance and Accounting Lead. The incumbent will maintain financial records, prepare financial statements, and assist the Finance and Accounting Lead with financial reporting, accounting, and compliance activities.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly closing activities and in compliance with IFRS.
• Develop and implement financial strategies and policies that align with the Dropee's goals and objectives.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights on financial trends and business performance.
• Provide financial guidance and support to senior management and business units, including developing financial models and forecasts, identifying financial risks and opportunities, and providing insights to inform business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support ,analysis for business decisions and audit matters.
• Manage and maintain accurate financial records and documentation, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and financial statements.
• Develop and maintain financial performance metrics and reports to monitor and evaluate the organization's financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and investors, to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reporting and accounting tasks, including month-end and year-end close processes.

Position Specifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' working experience in finance and accounting or equivalent, with experience in the Big 4 audit firms is a plus.
• Degree in accountancy or equivalent professional qualification, with ACCA or CPA qualification.
• Good understanding of International and Local Accounting Standards and tax regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP system.
• Someone with a passion for all things accounting and finance.
• A genuine interest in e-commerce/start up companies.
• An ability to think and work strategically and systemically - continuously prioritizing key deliverables.
• Strong problem-solving skills, and an ability to think outside the box to provide scalable, sustainable, and cost-efficient solutions.

• Strong communication skills to inspire and influence internal stakeholders (HQ or Markets).
