Junior Atlassian Administrator

Position Overview

LaunchTech is seeking a Junior Atlassian Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring administrator to develop deep expertise in Atlassian products and enterprise system management. In this role, you will support the administration and operational management of Atlassian applications including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align in secure IL5 and IL6 environments while assisting senior administrators with system maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Junior Atlassian Administrator will:

• Support the lead administrator in managing Atlassian applications including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align in IL5 and IL6 environments

• Assist with day-to-day operational administration of Atlassian platforms

• Support user account management, access provisioning, and permissions administration

• Perform routine system checks and assist with troubleshooting platform issues

• Assist with application updates, security patching, and STIG compliance activities under the guidance of the lead administrator

• Provide basic back-end configuration support for Jira and Confluence environments

• Serve as a support contact for users, helping troubleshoot issues and collect information for escalation when needed

• Help prepare and track REMEDY-based Change Requests for updates, installations, and configuration changes

• Support incident resolution by collaborating with team members to address user support tickets

• Assist in gathering requirements and feedback from users and system owners for minor configuration changes and improvements

What You BringBasic Requirements

• Must have 6 months or more of systems administration experience

• Must possess a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (such as CompTIA Security+ CE or higher)

• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements

• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira or Confluence, or other ticket-tracking systems

• Basic understanding of IT administration concepts including system patching, user permissions, and application configuration

• Experience in a customer-facing or user support role

• Familiarity with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure
