Our client is an Automotive Tier1 and is looking for a Key account Manager in Baden-Württemberg area in Gerrmany.
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic customer relationships with major automotive OEMs in Germany. This role ensures strong commercial performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term business development by acting as the main interface between the customer and the internal cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage key customer accounts and serve as the primary point of contact for all commercial and program-related matters.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with OEMs and system/module suppliers.
- Identify new business opportunities, prepare quotations, and lead price negotiations.
- Coordinate new project development from RFQ to SOP, ensuring alignment between sales, engineering, quality, logistics, and operations.
- Monitor customer requirements, market trends, and competitive developments to support strategic decisions.
- Support contract reviews, business cases, and margin improvement initiatives.
- Lead regular customer meetings, prepare reports, and ensure timely follow-up on actions and escalations.
- Work closely with project management to secure smooth industrialization and serial production launch.
- Ensure customer expectations regarding quality, delivery, and service are consistently met.
- Contribute to account plans and sales forecasts in line with company objectives.
Profile required
- Degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, key account management, or project management in the automotive industry, ideally with a Tier 1 supplier.
- Strong understanding of automotive customers, supply chain processes, and serial production environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong customer orientation with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-driven, organized, resilient, and able to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Fluent in English; German B1 minimum.
