Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Jira Project Manager / Jira Administrator to support large-scale enterprise initiatives within a fast-paced Technology & Digital organization focused on transforming digital experiences across multiple business lines. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep Jira administration expertise with strong enterprise-level project management experience and a modern understanding of AI-enabled analytics and reporting capabilities.
This is not a traditional Project Manager role. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, technically fluent within Jira ecosystems, and capable of leveraging AI tools to enhance project transparency, reporting, governance, and executive visibility. The organization is looking for someone who can operate at scale, manage highly complex initiatives, and bring strong delivery intuition across Agile environments.
The right individual will understand how to move beyond basic Jira administration and standard dashboards by building advanced workflows, integrations, reporting structures, and AI-driven insights that support strategic decision-making across enterprise programs.
This is a highly collaborative and visible role requiring strong communication skills, executive-level reporting capabilities, and the ability to support fast-moving, high-growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and govern Jira across complex enterprise programs and cross-functional initiatives
- Design and maintain advanced Jira workflows, custom fields, dashboards, automations, widgets, plugins, and governance structures
- Build advanced JQL queries and reporting frameworks to deliver executive-level visibility into project health, delivery performance, risks, and operational metrics
- Develop and maintain integrations between Jira and enterprise platforms such as Smartsheet and other operational systems using APIs and workflow automation
- Leverage AI-enabled tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Compass, or similar platforms to improve reporting, analytics, forecasting, and delivery transparency
- Support Agile delivery processes including sprint planning, backlog management, PI Planning activities, and governance cadences
- Manage project scope, budgets, resources, timelines, risks, and deliverables across large-scale enterprise initiatives
- Partner closely with engineering, product, operations, and leadership teams to improve delivery processes and reporting accuracy
- Provide Jira governance, user enablement, training, and operational support across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Monitor Jira adoption, usage patterns, and reporting effectiveness to drive continuous improvement and operational maturity
- Help validate AI-generated analytics and reporting outputs to ensure business accuracy and actionable insights
- Develop and maintain documentation for workflows, governance standards, reporting methodologies, and operational processes
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Jira Administrator within large enterprise environments
- Extensive experience as a Project Manager supporting highly complex enterprise initiatives and large program portfolios
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale budgets and enterprise delivery efforts beyond small or mid-sized projects
- Strong expertise with Jira administration, including workflows, custom JQL development, dashboards, plugins, automations, governance, and integrations
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management principles, including sprint-based delivery environments
- Experience building executive-level reporting and delivery analytics solutions
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools for reporting, analytics, operational insights, or project transparency
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and validate AI-driven insights and reporting outputs
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in highly dynamic, fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cloud migration or large-scale technical transformation initiatives
- Experience integrating Jira with enterprise platforms and third-party tools through APIs and automation workflows
- Familiarity with SAFe-inspired delivery practices such as PI Planning and sprint execution
- Experience developing AI-enabled analytics, reporting frameworks, or operational insights platforms
- Experience coaching teams on Jira best practices, Agile delivery, and governance standards
- Strong understanding of enterprise delivery operations and portfolio management practices
- Experience supporting executive leadership through advanced reporting and strategic delivery visibility
