Chief of Operations

Primary Purpose

Responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, development, evaluation, and implementation of the district's maintenance, transportation, custodial services, warehousing, safety/security, and special projects as assigned.

Major Responsibilities Include

• Oversee district facilities maintenance, transportation, warehouse, and custodial operations
• Provide leadership for campus and district safety initiatives
• Supervise maintenance, transportation, custodial, and operations staff
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, purchasing, and inventory
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations
• Coordinate emergency response planning and district-wide safety procedures
• Collaborate with principals and department leaders on operational needs
• Present operational reports and recommendations to district leadership and the Board

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
• Master's degree in educational leadership, business administration, public administration, or related field preferred
• Valid Texas Principal Certificate preferred
• Experience in transportation, safety, security, or related operational leadership
• Strong leadership, communication, budgeting, and personnel management skills
• Knowledge of maintenance, custodial, transportation, and district safety operations
