Finance Operations Lead
Indexed description
Finance Operations Lead Responsibilities:
- Own portfolio KPIs (AR aging, bad debt ratio, collections effectiveness) — with an emphasis on improving them through smarter processes
- Execute core O2C activities (credit reviews, collections, dispute resolution) while actively working to automate and streamline each one
- Assess current O2C workflows to identify where AI, automation, and intelligent tooling can eliminate manual effort, reduce cycle times, and improve decision quality across credit decisioning, collections prioritisation, dispute resolution, cash application, and risk monitoring
- Partner with outsourced teams to drive accountability against SLAs, while identifying which activities can be augmented or replaced through AI and automation
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with SOX, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
- Develop an understanding of the business drivers in your geography — revenue trends, risks, economic factors, tax and FX exposure — to inform strategy and anticipate challenges before they materialise
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership on Finance implications, bringing data-driven insights and a forward-looking perspective
- Proactively identify and manage micro and macro risks across the portfolio, using data and predictive analytics to move from reactive to anticipatory risk management
- Engage proactively with Policy, Legal, Compliance, and Sales Operations to navigate change and ensure AI implementations meet governance standards
- Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Product teams to co-develop AI solutions tailored to Finance Operations needs
- Experience in Finance Operations, Order to Cash, or adjacent functions (Revenue Accounting, FP&A, Sales Ops) in a multinational environment
- Experience effectively leverage AI assistants, prompt engineering, no-code/low-code automation, and intelligent workflows to get better outcomes faster
- Experience working with data — understanding data quality, interpreting analytics, and using data to drive decisions
- Experience driving adoption of new tools, processes, or ways of working. You know how to bring people along — through storytelling, demonstration, and persistence
- Experience building or deploying AI/ML solutions in a finance or operations context
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, LLM-based tools, or automation platforms
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
