The RN- Texoma Heart Group -position is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties, which include:
- Assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture, and procedure as directed by the physician.
- Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with the IPM guideline.
- Prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required.
- Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.
- Delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act. Refers to and consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns.
- Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

Education/Certification
Qualifications
RN - Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of two (2) years of college or an Associate’s Degree. BSN preferred.
Current BLS/CPR certification required
Current state-registered nurse license
Work Experience
Minimum of one to three (1-3) years working as a Registered Nurse required. Three to five (3-5) years of related experience (preferred).

Skills
Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Abilities
Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions

Works in a well-lighted, OSHA Standard environment
May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases
