Private Equity Associate / VP – Industrials

Location: Cleveland, OH

We’re currently partnering with a lower middle market private equity firm seeking to add an Associate or Vice President to its growing investment team. The firm specializes in control-oriented investments across industrial sectors, with a hands-on approach to driving operational improvements and long-term value creation.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, lean team where you will gain significant exposure across the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing through execution and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate potential investment opportunities across industrial sectors, including manufacturing, industrial services, and industrial technology
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBOs and operating models
• Lead and support all aspects of due diligence, including financial, commercial, and operational workstreams
• Prepare investment committee materials and present findings to senior team members
• Work closely with management teams of portfolio companies to help drive strategic and operational initiatives
• Assist with deal sourcing efforts, including market mapping and relationship development

Qualifications:

• 2–8+ years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, or top-tier management consulting
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with prior transaction experience
• Exposure to industrials (manufacturing, industrial services, etc.) is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ties to Ohio, particularly Cleveland, are strongly preferred
