Become a valuable member of the lead test facility responsible for the engineering, design, integration, and installation of test systems.

This position offers a great opportunity for advancement and experience working as part of a dedicated design and integration team developing RF data acquisition test systems.

Required

  • U.S. Citizen eligible for government security clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • Four plus years of professional software development experience.
  • Valid U.S. Passport.
  • Able to travel periodically across the U.S. and overseas.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and great attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and respond to feedback.
  • Experience working through the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Programming experience in C, C++, and Java.
  • Experience in one or more of the following fields: Instrumentation Control, Automated Data Acquisition, Digital Signal Processing.
  • Proficiency in making high-level technical decisions.

Desired

  • Software development experience using C++ Builder, IntelliJ/Eclipse, and/or LabWindows/CVI.
  • Experience with CI/CD.
  • Experience with Graphical User Interface (GUI) development.
  • Active/recent U.S. government security clearance.

Physical Requirements

  • Talk, hear, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, prolonged standing/sitting.
  • Vision: distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Writing code, developing software components, and performing feature integration.
  • Manage existing codebase.
  • Transform technical requirements into code.
  • Document software requirements and design specifications.
  • Provide RF testing including antenna radiation patterns, communication systems, Data Links, Electronic Warfare, Radio Direction Finding systems and radars.
  • Provide support to fleet forces at U.S. homeports and mobile test platform supporting shipyard installations and Coast Guard units.
