Mission of the Role:
The Junior IT Analyst supports daily IT operations and end users at the local site. The role focuses on learning and providing reliable IT support, maintaining standard IT systems, and assisting senior team members with IT operations and projects. The mission is to deliver responsive, secure, and efficient IT support while developing technical skills and expertise.
Key Objectives of the Role:
- Support day-to-day local IT operations to ensure business continuity.
- Provide timely first-level (and basic second-level) IT support to end users.
- Assist in maintaining local IT systems in line with global IT standards and procedures.
- Support hardware lifecycle activities such as workstation setup, replacement, and basic troubleshooting.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of software, updates, and drivers.
- Support data security initiatives through endpoint management and backup-related activities.
- Participate in local IT activities and projects under guidance.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately and collaborate with senior IT colleagues.
- Ensure accurate ticket logging, updates, and resolution within agreed SLA timelines.
- No unresolved or significantly aged tickets.
- Ticket satisfaction survey score > 4.
- Completion of onboarding and structured knowledge transfer for local IT infrastructure.
- Ability to independently resolve standard user issues and requests.
- Demonstrated understanding of IT processes, tools, and escalation paths.
- 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or service desk role (internship or traineeship considered).
- Basic knowledge of Windows Client operating systems (Windows Server is a plus).
- Familiarity with IT security fundamentals (antivirus, patching, basic cybersecurity concepts).
- Basic understanding of Active Directory and networking concepts (Cisco exposure is a plus).
- Good user-level knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard business applications.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Ability to follow IT processes, policies, and procedures.
- Very good command of English and German.
