services organization dedicated to helping individuals and families
through dynamic and innovative programming. JOB SUMMARY: The Brown
County Family Centered Supportive Services program provides in-home
services to parents and families through family-specific parent
education and support services so that children and youth may remain in,
or be returned to, their parental home. As the Family Centered Support
Specialist, you will work closely with families to address such topics
as supervision, basic home management, basic parenting assistance,
parent education, and social support; and supporting family goals
related to increasing family engagement, regulating emotion, behavior
modification techniques, anger and stress management, basic life skills,
connecting to community resources, and family budgeting skills. This
position also provides intensive, hands-on support to parents impacted
by substance abuse by connecting them to AODA and mental health
treatment, recovery support, and community resources. KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FAMILY CENTERED SUPPORT SPECIALIST: Provide
regular face-to-face contact with families referred by Brown County
Health and Human Services / Child Welfare Department. Formulate,
implement, evaluate, and review family treatment plans. Provide in-home
meetings multiple days per week based on family availability and level
of need. Provide parenting education, support, and advocacy to program
participants through individual and family work. Assist parents in
locating services to address treatment needs for themselves and/or their
child/youth. Create an in-home support plan that families can use during
crises Exercise judgement to intervene as an advocate for families in
emergency and crisis situations. Organize and facilitate structured
individual and/or family activities. Provide thorough and accurate
updates on families\' progress weekly to case manager and make
appropriate recommendations. Safety transport individuals as needed,
following appropriate car seat safety requirements. LOCATION: Brown
County, WI SCHEDULE: Full-time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Position
will require two evening shifts per week. PAY RATE: \$24.00 per hour WHY
