Position Overview
Neuroscience Education Institute (NEI), a division of HMP Global, is seeking a driven, polished, and revenue-oriented sales professional to accelerate growth across our portfolio of educational initiatives, strategic partnerships, and commercial collaborations.
This role is designed for a high-ambition performer who thrives in consultative sales environments and understands how to build long-term client partnerships that translate into measurable revenue. The Senior Business Development Manager will actively call on and build relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech Medical Affairs leaders, Brand Directors, and Grant Committee decision-makers.
Success in this role requires sales acumen, business development instincts, strong account management skills, executive-level communication, and the discipline to manage pipeline performance through CRM systems. The ideal candidate demonstrates ambition, ability, and commitment — consistently presenting pipeline updates, forecasting revenue, and proactively identifying growth opportunities.
While this is not a heavily travel-based role, travel is expected when necessary for client meetings, presentations, and key industry events.

- Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare organizations.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring responsiveness, strategic alignment, and client satisfaction.
- Conduct consultative discovery conversations to understand client goals and align solutions accordingly.
- Maintain strong relationships with executive-level stakeholders and cross-functional client teams.
Presentation & Executive Engagement
- Develop compelling pitch decks and customized proposals tailored to client needs.
- Lead virtual and in-person client presentations with confidence and executive presence.
- Represent NEI and HMP Global professionally in all client-facing interactions.
- Present pipeline status, revenue forecasts, and opportunity strategies to leadership on a regular basis.
CRM & Operational Discipline
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity tracking in Salesforce, HubSpot, or comparable CRM systems.
- Provide reliable forecasting and reporting to leadership.
- Track client engagement, renewal cycles, and follow-up strategies within CRM.

- Market & Industry Engagement
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and client business drivers.
- Leverage existing industry relationships and continuously build new ones.
- Demonstrate credibility through strong knowledge of clients’ businesses and strategic objectives.

- Strong command of CRM technology (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Experience creating pitch decks and presenting to executive-level stakeholders.
