As a dynamic and organized individual, you will be at the forefront to drive acquisition efforts through digital and field marketing, localise contents and grow our brand presence in Malaysia. This role will be instrumental in driving WorldFirst to be the No.1 choice in cross-border payment solutions for SME businesses throughout Malaysia.
Main Responsibilities
Growth Marketing
- Responsible for overall client acquisition KPIs through marketing channels.
- Ability to propose and execute new acquisition tactics based on Malaysia market.
- Identify and test new channels to drive acquisition and user growth.
- Analyze and draw insights from customer data to make strategic commercial and marketing decisions.
- Optimize existing channels (online/offline/internal and external network) to drive better conversion rates.
- Manage approved budget with the goal to lower cost per acquisition.
- Meet customers and partners to understand pain points and provide solution-driven campaigns to create customer value.
- Understand competitor landscape and develop unique value proposition to customers.
Field Marketing & KOL Management
- Identify key industry events, community, eco-partners and key opinion leaders to drive brand awareness and acquisition.
- Conceptualize and project manage end-to-end events and campaigns.
- Lead events calendar – owned, sponsored and partnership events.
- Liaise with suppliers for cost negotiation for marketing materials and for deliverables within budgets.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality control of marketing and partnership events.
- Capture social content during events to support marketing efforts.
- Conduct post-event reporting on conversion-driven events, both online and offline.
- Manage the end-to-end process of partner marketing relationship.
- Explore and experiment new partnerships to drive acquisition.
- Run end-to-end events and workshops with our partner network to drive engagement, lead generation, and marketing conversion.
Marketing Media and Campaign Management
- Work with paid performance and social media team to drive full-year content calendar for owned and paid channels.
- Identify relevant local media and online communities to increase brand voice.
- Work with global performance team to localise, track and analyse paid campaign metrics, implementing A/B testing of ad creatives, copy, landing pages, and targeting to optimise and exceed conversion KPIs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Communications, Business Management, Consulting, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in marketing or a similar role, preferably in the fintech or e-commerce industry.
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written English, and fluency in Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia is preferred.
- Proactive, results-oriented, with project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Thinking ‘Customer first’, and empathetic towards the customers’ pain points and challenges.
- Thrive in a fast-paced working environment and adaptable to change.
- Comfortable working in a cross-cultural working environment and a SEA local culture lover.
- Business travel may be required from time to time.
