Contract: Full-time / Permanent

About The Role

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Involvement Coordinator to help strengthen how we listen to, learn from, and work in partnership with people who use our services, their families, carers, and local communities.

In this role, you will champion lived experience and support the Trust’s ambition to embed coproduction and meaningful involvement across all services. You’ll work closely with service users, carers, staff, and voluntary sector partners to ensure that voices from all backgrounds shape service improvement and strategic decisionmaking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be based within the services at: B&D community hospital, Beam Park, Axe Street. Havering: Church road, Harold Hill health centre, Chadwell Heath Health Centre, St Georges Health and Well-being Hub, to facilitate the building of strong links with NELFT teams / local groups / service users and carers at place.
  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate involvement activities across NELFT services.
  • Support coproduction projects and ensure lived experience is central to service design and quality improvement.
  • Plan and facilitate engagement events, workshops, and focus groups.
  • Gather, analyse, and present feedback and insights to inform service development.
  • Promote best practice in involvement and contribute to a culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with Trust policies and governance requirements.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage people from a wide range of backgrounds.

  • Confidence working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • A genuine passion for improving services through lived experience insight.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High Cost Area Supplement Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, CEME)

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).
