Job Description: Store Manager (Hourly, Non Exempt, Tip Earning Eligible)
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Department: Retail Operations
Reports To: District/Area Manager
FLSA Status: Non Exempt (Hourly)
Tip Eligibility: Yes (while performing direct service duties)
Position Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations, financial performance, team leadership, and elevated guest experience of a LaMar’s Donuts and Coffee location.
This is a working manager role that actively participates in:
- Guest service (front counter and drive thru)
- Beverage and food production
- Team support during peak periods
Compensation
Base Hourly Rate
- $20.75 to $30.00 per hour
- +$1.00 per hour for employees who: o Speak English AND at least one additional language (besides Spanish, see below)
- Are approved by management as actively using bilingual skills in the workplace oApplies to all hours worked (not just service time)
- +$2.00 per hour for employees who: o Speak English AND Spanish
- Are approved by management as actively using bilingual skills in the workplace
- Applies to all hours worked (not just service time)
- Paid at 1.5x hourly rate for all hours worked over 40/week
- Includes bilingual differential in regular rate calculation (as required by law)
- Eligible to earn and accumulate tips while on the clock when performing direct service work
- Tips may include: o Cash tips
- Credit card/digital tips oTip pool distributions (if applicable)
- No tip credit taken o LaMar’s pays full hourly wage per Colorado and Denver minimum wage laws
- Tips are additional compensation
The Store Manager:CAN earn tips when:
- Serving guests directly
- Running POS/drive thru
- Preparing beverages or food
- Supporting team during active service
- Performing administrative duties: o Scheduling
- Hiring oPayroll
- Inventory planning
- Office/admin work
- 10 minute paid rest break for every 4 hours worked
- 30 minute unpaid meal period for shifts over 5 hours

Required Qualifications
- 2 5+ years of restaurant, café, or retail management experience
- Experience managing hourly teams
- Strong operational and financial understanding
- Ability to work in high volume environments
- Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Coffee/specialty beverage experience
- Bakery or donut production experience
- Drive thru operations experience
- Franchise system experience
- Leadership and accountability
- Financial discipline
- Guest first mindset
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in fast paced environments
- Standing for extended periods (12 14(+) hours)
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Early morning shifts (2:00 4:00 AM production)
- Fast paced, high volume setting
- Full time (35 45+ hours/week)
- Must be available: o Early mornings
- Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) Required
