Role Description
Lighthouse Technologies is seeking a talented and experienced Telecom Construction Manager to join our team and play a key role in launching and scaling a new Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) market. This is a high-impact position responsible not only for overseeing construction, but also for helping establish a new market from the ground up. Responsibilities include building contractor relationships and driving production from the initial permit phase through final customer turn-up.
Our ideal candidate can manage large-scale, fast-moving projects and has a proven track record of bringing projects from inception to successful completion with minimal oversight. This position requires frequent travel, with all travel expenses paid. Travel is expected to be approximately 50%.
What You’ll Do
- Support the launch and growth of a new FTTH market, including contractor onboarding and production scaling
- Oversee daily operations, quality control, productivity, and contractor safety/compliance
- Track project progress, reporting, permits, and material usage
- Order and manage non-client materials while coordinating with vendors for best pricing
- Work with contractors to ensure maps, make-ready work, and underground locates are completed before construction begins
- Participate in daily client calls to provide project updates and address field concerns
- Ensure contractor street sheets, redlines, as-builts, and invoices are accurate and submitted on time
What We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet MVR qualifications
- 2–3 years of cable or related industry experience required
- Being local to Detroit, Michigan, is preferred
- Proven experience managing FTTH construction projects
- Experience supporting or leading new market launches or rapid project ramp-ups
- Ability to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
